MPFA to maintain special work arrangement

In view of the latest novel coronavirus situation, the MPFA will follow the government guidelines and continue the special work arrangements until 23 February to reduce the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community.

The offices of MPFA, situated in Kwai Chung, Kwun Tong and Sheung Wan, including the customer service counters, will remain closed. The MPFA’s telephone enquiry hotline (2918 0102) will provide service from 11am to 3pm from Monday to Friday this week.  To facilitate timely follow up by MPFA, members of the public are highly recommended to make enquiries through email (mpfa@mpfa.org.hk) or to leave a message in the hotline voice mail for follow-up by the MPFA. Useful MPF information and many frequently asked questions are available on the MPFA website (www.mpfa.org.hk) for reference.

People tend to go out less at this critical time to help stop the spreading of the novel coronavirus.  The MPFA encourages employers and scheme members to handle MPF matters through digital means. Trustees provide different digital services for employers to make contributions and for members to manage their MPF. In addition, the e-Enquiry of Personal Account (ePA) platform and an ePA mobile application allow members to get a report on their MPF personal accounts anytime, anywhere using a computer, smartphone or tablet free of charge. Together with the one-stop MPF Fund Platform (MFP) and MPF mobile application, which help members examine information about different MPF funds and compare their management fees and investment performance, members can easily manage their MPF without having to leave home.

The MPFA will continue to provide necessary and limited service to the public, while at the same time safeguarding the health of the public and its staff. Subject to operational needs, some staff will return to office to handle time-critical/essential work while others will work from home to reduce the risk of people gathering in groups.

The MPFA will continue to closely monitor the situation and announce further arrangements in due course.
