MPFA launches Young Engagement Ambassadors Programme for career development of young people
The MPFA today (2 September) announced the launch of the Young Engagement Ambassadors (YEA) Programme which aims to help young people accumulate work experience and broaden their horizons, as well as nurture talent for the MPF industry.
Fresh graduates who are interested in participating in the YEA Programme will have the opportunity to use their creativity and imagination to innovate the way in which the MPFA can reach out to specific groups such as ethnic minorities and new arrivals to enhance their understanding of the MPF System and retirement planning. Successful applicants will be given training related to MPF knowledge and communication skills, and will participate in planning and implementation of public education projects. Through training, planning, group discussion, practising and outreaching, the Programme aims to cultivate young people’s interest and ability to join the MPFA and relevant public bodies.
In response to the Government’s measures to create job opportunities, the MPFA will also create other time-limited positions ranging from research assistants to senior managers, which cover different functions of the MPFA, including enforcement, member protection and services, product regulation, supervision and other supporting services. The new positions are now open for applications. Details are as follows:
MPFA Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Ms Alice Law said: “The MPFA attaches great importance to the community. We understand the difficulties of job-seeking in the face of the current economic downturn and job scarcity. In support of the Government’s anti-epidemic measures and to fulfill corporate social responsibility, the MPFA has created time-limited positions for job seekers of different ages to provide more job opportunities and impetus to the MPF industry to sustain the development of the MPF System. I would like to appeal to people who are keen to take up MPF regulatory and promotional works to join the MPFA and unleash their potential. Young people are full of creativity. I look forward to new ideas and energy from those young people who are interested in participating in the YEA Programme.”
For further information and application details of the YEA Programme and individual positions, please visit the MPFA website.
