Two more MPFA senior management posts filled

The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) announced the appointment of another two senior staff today (Tuesday).

The Hon Charles LEE Yeh-kwong, Chairman of the MPFA, said, "The MPFA has appointed Mrs Heidi Kwan and Ms Estella Chan to fill the posts of Head (External Affairs) and Corporate Secretary respectively.

Mrs Heidi Kwan, who has reported for duty today, heads the MPFA's External Affairs Division responsible for the promotion and publicity of MPF as well as handling of general enquiries and complaints. Mrs Kwan has more than 20 years of public relations and mass communication experience in both the private and the public sectors. When she was with the government's Information Services Department, she handled a wide range of duties including publicity campaigns and other community-wide activities.

As the MPFA's Corporate Secretary, Ms Estella Chan will serve as the secretary to the Management Board and assist the Chairman and Managing Director in handling the MPFA's corporate functions. She has previously worked in the private sector, a tertiary institution and the Legislative Council Secretariat. Ms Chan will report for duty on 25 November.

"I am very pleased that Mrs Heidi Kwan and Ms Estella Chan have decided to join the MPFA. They are very experienced and fully qualified for the posts concerned," said Mr Lee.

"Separate announcements will be made later when the appointments of the remaining top management posts are confirmed," he added."
