The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) will participate in this year's Education & Careers Expo 2000. Jointly organized by the Labour Department and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 24 to 27 February, the Expo is open to the public free of charge.

"To enhance understanding of the MPF System and its merits among potential employees and students is vital to the smooth implementation of the MPF System in December," said Mr. Wong Chi-kwong, Acting Managing Director of the MPFA.

A bookmark with hand written Chinese calligraphy, "MPF - The Fruit You Deserve" by top singer, Mr. Andy Lau will be distributed free to visitors at the MPFA booth (Booth Number D34). An interesting educational video highlighting the basic features of the MPF System and the Authority's API "Bicycle" will be shown at the booth. Officers will be on hand to answer enquiries.

Besides explaining the MPF System to interested parties visiting the booth, the MPFA will also conduct a seminar during the Expo on 26 February, at 4:40 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Room 402 - 403, Level 4 (East Wing), Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
