MPF Intermediary and You
With the implementation of the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) System, employers, employees and self-employed persons are likely to be approached by MPF intermediaries who try to market their MPF products. The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) has published an "MPF Intermediary and You" pamphlet to provide useful information on MPF intermediaries for the public.
The contents of the pamphlet include the regulatory framework of MPF intermediaries, the roles and obligations of MPF intermediaries, the information displayed on the MPF Intermediaries Card, ways of verifying an intermediary's registration status and channels for filing complaints on MPF intermediaries.
From next Monday (June 12) onwards, the pamphlet will be available for public collection at public enquiry service centres of the Home Affairs Department and office of the MPFA.
Full text of the pamphlet can also be downloaded from the MPFA website at www.mpfahk.org. For further enquiries, please call the MPFA Hotline at 2918 0102.
