MPFA Launches roadshows

A series of MPF roadshows will be organised throughout the territorty to further spread MPF-related knowledge to different sectors of the community. The first roadshow held at Tsz Wan Shan Shopping Centre today (July 28) attracted a large audience.

Up to the end of this year, the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), will organise a total of seven roadshows at the Hong Kong Housing Authority’s shopping complexes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of today’s roadshow, MPFA’s Non-executive Director, Mr Lee Kai-ming, said, “As the MPF System is entirely new to Hong Kong, it is important for us to continue to work closely with different organizations, including trade unions, chambers of commerce, the District Councils, government departments and professional bodies, with a view to reaching out to different sectors of the community and increasing public understanding of the MPF System.”

“We must thank the Hong Kong Housing Authority for its unfailing support in helping us organize the events. Apart from providing us the venues, it has also kindly rendered all the necessary assistance.”

Noting that the MPF provided retirement protection for the working population, Mr Lee called on the public to know more about MPF-related matters.

The MPF shows will be hosted by famous radio DJs, singers and artistes, who will help disseminate MPF-knowledge and messages to the public through interesting and interactive games. MPFA staff will also be at the locations to answer public enquiries.
