MPFA Welcomes Report on Public Bodies Remuneration
The Chairman of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), Mr. Charles Lee Yeh-kwong, today (26 June) welcomes the report of the review of the remuneration packages of senior executives of statutory bodies.
He said: “We support the Government in commissioning this review. I welcome the consultant’s recommendations that we should adopt a mix of fixed and variable remuneration. MPFA has, in fact, already adopted a performance-based variable pay mechanism in its remuneration policy since it started operation in 1999.“
At the Board’s regular meeting tomorrow, members will be briefed on the recommendations of the report. Further discussion will be held at the next Board Meeting.
