MPFA encourages MPF industry to participate in territory-wide rapid antigen test

The MPFA today (6 April) wrote to MPF trustees and principal intermediaries1 urging them to respond to the Government’s appeal by encouraging their staff and subsidiary intermediaries2 (SIs) as well as their family members to conduct daily rapid antigen test (RAT) for three consecutive days from 8 to 10 April 2022, making good use of the RAT kits in the anti-epidemic service bags distributed by the Government. Those tested positive should report to the Department of Health’s Centre for Health Protection within 24 hours. Separately, MPF trustees and principal intermediaries should be prepared to make necessary contingency arrangement to ensure essential services are performed in the event that their staff or SIs are tested positive.

An MPFA spokesperson said that the MPF industry’s support and co-operation are essential to the effectiveness of the testing exercise and the anti-epidemic work, which help the Government identify infected COVID-19 cases and reduce the spread of the virus in the community. Meanwhile, the MPFA has also impressed upon its staff to support this voluntary testing exercise as part of the society’s concerted efforts to fight the virus.
