Senior Appointment to eMPF Platform Company Limited
The eMPF Platform Company Limited (the Company) today (9 September) announced that the Financial Secretary and the MPFA have approved the appointment of Mr Eric Lui Chi-kin as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Director (ED) of the Company for a term of 3 years with effect from 9 September 2022.
Mr Lui is a seasoned executive with over 35 years of experience in managing digital transformation projects with track records for large enterprises and public organizations in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asian countries. His project experiences span across different industry sectors including finance, manufacturing, retail, insurance, rail and maritime transport. Apart from being an IT veteran, Mr Lui also possesses qualifications in accountancy, system audit, law, transport and logistics.
Mr Lui started working on the eMPF Platform project as Project Director of the Company in October 2021 and acting as CEO and ED since 8 December 2021.
Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, Chairman of the MPFA and the eMPF Platform Company Limited, said, “The Company’s Board of Directors welcomes the appointment of Mr Lui whose wealth of experience in project management will contribute immensely to the ongoing development of the eMPF Platform. The project is now at the critical stage of system development targeted for completion by the end of 2022 at the earliest. Following system testing to be conducted early next year, onboarding of MPF schemes to the Platform by phase will start in mid-2023, and the Platform will be fully functional in 2025. Under Mr Lui’s leadership, the project team will spare no effort in ensuring the project is implemented in accordance with the project timeline.”
