Multimedia competition on MPF in tertiary institutions Show your creativity Pave the way for your MPF journey
The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) is organising a multimedia competition on the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) for students of tertiary institutions. Students are invited to produce creative videos by means of videography, animation, computer graphics, etc., to disseminate messages related to the MPF and investment knowledge to the general public.
The MPFA will also organise multimedia training workshops for students joining the competition. Financial experts and renowned figures working in the creative industry have been invited to share their knowledge and experience in financial planning and multimedia production.
Multimedia competition on the MPF
The competition is open to full-time students of tertiary institutions, who can join the competition in the name of an individual or a team with no more than three members. Participating students have to produce a video, lasting three minutes or less, using videography, animation, computer graphics, etc., to deliver messages about managing the MPF and related investment knowledge.
The winning individual or team will not only be given a cash award but will also be offered a summer internship at the MPFA. The videos will be posted on Facebook for public online voting. The video attracting the highest number of “like” will be awarded the “Most Popular Video”.
Multimedia training workshops
To help participants get ready for the competition, the MPFA will organise a series of six multimedia training workshops in January and February 2012. Various celebrities, including famous film director and editor Wong Hoi, founder of Chocolate Rain Prudence Mak, singer and composer Endy Chow, hip hop group Fama, and others will be instructors at the workshops, sharing with participants their experience and tips in multimedia production. Financial experts and MPFA representatives will also attend the workshops to equip participants with knowledge about financial planning, the MPF System and MPF investments.
The multimedia competition and the training workshops are now open for enrolment. Participants are required to submit their videos on or before 12 March 2012. Announcement of the winners will be made at the prize presentation ceremony to be held in April 2012. The deadline for enrolling in the training workshops is 30 November 2011.
Please visit the designated website or the Youth Corner on the MPFA website (www.mpfa.org.hk) to learn more about the competition and the training workshops.
On-campus recruitment sessions
The MPFA held three on-campus recruitment sessions (see attached photos) in the past few days to kick off the series of activities to be held during this academic year for students of tertiary institutions. DJs and artistes joined the MPFA on visits to various institutions to encourage students to take part in the competition and the training workshops. Information on the MPF System and MPF investments was delivered to students through interactive games and face-to-face sharing.
The MPFA has been organising various activities in kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions to give wealth management and MPF-related messages to children, teenagers, parents and teachers.
