ECA promotion truck reaches out to the community
With a view to deepening public understanding of the Employee Choice Arrangement (ECA), the Mandatory Provident Schemes Authority (MPFA) has arranged for a promotion truck to visit different districts from today (16 November) until the end of January next year, reaching out to the community to spread the key messages of ECA.
The promotion truck leverages the “MPF Boss” approach featured in the series of ECA publicity materials. Inside the promotion truck are display panels introducing the details of the new arrangement and the transfer procedures, and most importantly, the three “MPF Boss Tactics” – “checking every detail”, “refusing to follow fads”, and “thinking carefully before taking action”. These tactics are used to remind scheme members of the potential risks involved in making a transfer and of the need to consider a number of factors before taking action.
Visitors can make use of the computer kiosks on the promotion truck to acquire more detailed information from the ECA thematic website, the online Fee Comparative Platform and the Trustee Service Comparative Platform. Also available to the public will be the “ECA – MPF Boss Tactics” booklet and other relevant publications. MPF ambassadors will be around to answer enquiries and give out souvenirs.
At the district level, besides the promotion truck tour, the MPFA will be holding roving exhibitions at various MTR stations from now until early next year. In addition, fun days in Kowloon, the New Territories and Hong Kong Island will be held and details of the activities will be announced later.
For more information about ECA and details of the publicity activities, please call the MPFA hotline at 2918 0102 or visit the MPFA website.
