MPFA welcomes the appointment of new Chairman and Board Members
The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) welcomes the appointment of Dr David Wong as Chairman of the MPFA with effect from 17 March 2015.
The MPFA is confident that under the leadership of Dr Wong, it will be able to meet the challenges ahead and continue to implement reform measures to improve the MPF System for the benefit of MPF scheme members.
The MPFA also expresses its deep gratitude to outgoing Chairman Anna Wu for her leadership and important contributions to improving the MPF System. Serving as chairman from 2009 to 2015 and as one of the founding non-executive directors of the MPFA from 1998 to 2005, Ms Wu saw the birth of the MPF System and put it on a strong footing. For the past six years, Ms Wu has led the MPFA to push forward the development of the MPF System by advocating various reform measures and providing a clear future direction.
In addition, the MPFA would like to thank Mr Andrew Leung and Mr Wong Kwok-kin, the two outgoing non-executive directors of the MPFA, for their invaluable contributions to the continued development of the MPF System. At the same time, the MPFA welcomes the appointments of Mr Abraham Shek and Mr Kingsley Wong and the re-appointments of Mr Ip Kwok-him, Ms Paddy Lui, Dr John Poon, Mr Philip Tsai and Mr Poon Siu-ping as non-executive directors. The MPFA looks forward to their valuable advice on further enhancing the MPF System.
