MPFA retirement planning mobile app guides you to your retirement savings goal
Managing your daily expenses and even devising your retirement saving plan can now be just a few taps away on your smartphone! The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) has launched a new retirement planning mobile app to help you reach your retirement savings goal step by step.
The retirement planning mobile app has the following three functions:
Retirement planning calculator
Spending tracker
Shopping List
In addition to these three functions, the mobile app has an interactive wealth-management zone, with links to four helpful online tools for MPF management: the Fee Comparative Platform, Trustee Service Comparative Platform, Low Fee Fund List, and MPF monthly performance table. You can manage your MPF investment more efficiently using these useful tools.
By downloading the mobile app, you can register for a reward programme. You can earn points by completing different tasks or recommending the mobile app to others via online social media platforms, and redeem the points for a gift (from now until 15 August 2016). Redemption is on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
Both Andriod and iOS versions of the mobile app are now available for free downloading at Google Play and App Store. Alternatively, you can scan the following QR code for downloading:
For other useful information about MPF investment and retirement planning, you are also encouraged to visit the MPFA’s all-in-one MPF investment education website.

The retirement planning mobile app has the following three functions:
Retirement planning calculator
- This is like your personal retirement savings consultant. If you key in the relevant information, such as current MPF balance, expected investment return and estimated monthly retirement expenses, as instructed, the calculator will project the amount of savings that you will accumulate by the age of 65, and tell you whether the sum will be able to meet your estimated retirement expenses. You can then set a saving goal according to the calculation results.
Spending tracker
- This is a user-friendly accounting tool with graph-generating and alert functions to analyze your income and expense status, and to keep you on track with your savings plan.
Shopping List
- This helps you with budgeting by comparing prices before you buy, making you a smart consumer.
