The latest issue of the MPFA Newsletter explains the impact of the DIS on MPF accounts
The Default Investment Strategy (DIS) was launched on 1 April, and its relevant legislation affects all 9.3 million Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) accounts in Hong Kong. The latest issue of the MPFA Newsletter explains in detail the legislation’s impact on the different types of MPF accounts, and highlights the areas scheme members should take note of.
MPF Feature has an interview with Mr Darren McShane, former Chief Regulation & Policy Officer and Executive Director of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), who left the MPFA in late March. A key architect of the DIS, Mr McShane talks about the challenges involved in designing the DIS and the extent to which he believes the DIS will change the MPF landscape.
Also in this issue is an article on the MPF Investment Seminar, jointly organized by the MPFA and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional and Continuing Education of The Open University of Hong Kong.
Published once every quarter, the MPFA Newsletter provides updates on the MPF System and the MPFA, and offers tips for scheme members on how to manage their MPF.
All issues of the MPFA Newsletter are available on the MPFA website.
