MPFA to implement special work arrangement
In view of the novel coronavirus situation, the MPFA will implement the special work arrangement from tomorrow (23 March) by making reference to the Government’s latest disease preventive measures to reduce social contact.
The offices of MPFA, situated in Kwai Chung, Kwun Tong and Sheung Wan, including the customer service counters, will remain closed. The MPFA’s telephone enquiry hotline (2918 0102) will provide service from 11am to 3pm from Monday to Friday. Members of the public may make enquiries through email (mpfa@mpfa.org.hk) or leave a message in the hotline voice mail for follow-up by the MPFA. Useful MPF information and frequently asked questions are available on the MPFA website (www.mpfa.org.hk) for reference. The MPFA will closely monitor and review the situation, and make announcement on further arrangement when appropriate.
Moreover, according to the MPF legislation, the MPF contribution day for monthly-paid employees is the 10th day of each month. Owing to the Easter public holidays on 10 (Friday) and 13 (Monday) April, the MPF contribution day for March is extended to 14 April (Tuesday). The MPFA reminds employers to act early to make their MPF contributions. Employers are also encouraged to make use of various digital means to handle MPF contributions so as to avoid delay and thus surcharge, as well as to reduce social contact.
The MPFA also encourages employees to handle MPF matters through digital services provided by trustees and the MPFA, and to use the MPFA’s e-Enquiry of Personal Account (ePA) platform and its mobile app, together with the one-stop MPF Fund Platform and its mobile app, to manage their MPF.
