MPFA Chairman is all ears in meeting with catering workers (30 September 2021)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Lau, Acting Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee and other colleagues met with representatives of The Federation of Hong Kong Food and Beverage Industries Trade Union yesterday (29 Sep), to listen to the opinions of employees of the catering industry on the MPF System.
Mrs Lau believed that there might be an increase of casual employees serving in the catering industry due to the COVID 19 pandemic. She called on casual employees to take note of their MPF rights and to leverage on the convenience brought about by the Industry Schemes. To ensure those casual employees who have joined or will join the catering industry could fully understand their MPF rights, Mrs Lau appealed to the support of the Federation for collaboration with the MPFA to enhance publicity and promotion of the Industry Schemes.
