MPFA Chairman shares career and life experiences with young volunteers (16 October 2021)
Invited by a charity Time Auction, MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Lau had a candid dialogue with a group of young volunteers on 16 October sharing her career and life experience with a view to inspiring them to continue making impactful contributions to the society.
Mrs Lau said that the MPF System was a massive social programme directly connecting to the retirement well-being of millions of scheme members, including low income and grassroots employees. As Chairman of MPFA, she would spare no efforts to lead MPFA in delivering its missions and listen to the voices of various stakeholders so as to ensure the MPF system fulfilled the retirement needs of the Hong Kong people.
To encourage volunteer work, Time Auction arranges face-to-face exchanges with leaders in different areas for participants who have completed 10 hours of voluntary work. Mrs Lau praised the participants for giving volunteer work for meaningful causes. She thanked Time Auction for its invitation which provided a valuable opportunity for her to listen to the views of the participants on the MPF System.
