MPFA Chairman thanks the unfailing support of the MPF industry (22 Apr 2022)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau and senior members of the MPFA and the eMPF Platform Company met with the senior management of all 13 MPF trustees on 22 Apr. Participants frankly exchanged views on jointly taking forward MPF development and the eMPF Platform project.
Mrs Lau commended the unfailing suport of the MPF industry to the work of the MPFA over the years as well as other Government initiatives demonstrating the commitment of the industry to Hong Kong.
At the meeting, the MPFA also announced an arrangement to help employers get onboard the eMPF Platform. The MPFA has decided to adopt the trustees’ suggestion of allowing employers to continue to make MPF contributions and enrol regular employees through the trustees’ existing websites or mobile apps for a transition period of three months after onboarding an MPF scheme to the eMPF Platform. This arrangement will help to make a seamless transition to the Platform after the launch of the phased onboarding in the second quarter of 2023.
