MPFA Acting Chief Operating Officer shares views with the industry on the birth of the New MPF Era after the launch of the eMPF Platform (7 Sep 2022)
MPFA Acting Chief Operating Officer Ms Cynthia Hui attended a retirement industry conference today (7 Sep), in which she shared the latest developments of the MPF System and the eMPF Platform project, the work of MPFA on the investment regulation front, and the vision for the new era for the MPF brought about by the eMPF Platform.
Ms Hui said that the launch of the eMPF Platform would reshape the MPF System and the operating model of the industry, foster the digitalization of the MPF industry, and reduce the administrative burden on trustees, thereby enabling them to better utilize their resources to provide investment management and retirement planning services that would generate more value for scheme members. In addition, the Platform will enhance the efficiency of MPF scheme administration and the user experience, create room for further fee reductions, and pave way for future reforms of the MPF System, which will provide substantial benefits to all stakeholders.
