MPFA helps staff of Hong Thai Travel withdraw ORSO benefits (10 Nov 2022)
To assist the staff of Hong Thai Travel, which is under liquidation proceedings, to withdraw their benefits under the Occupational Retirement Scheme (ORSO scheme), MPFA Director (Supervision) Ginni Wong and colleagues, together with the representatives of relevant trustee, today (10 Nov) met with the Federation of Hong Kong Trade Unions (FTU) and affected employees, to explain the procedures to withdraw their ORSO benefits and to help them recover defaulted ORSO contributions.
In addition to answering enquiries of affected employees, the representatives of MPFA and trustee reiterated that MPFA attached great importance to the case. MPFA would continue to recover outstanding contributions on behalf of employees according to established legal proceedings even the company was liquidated.
