MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, Acting Chief Operating Officer Cynthia Hui and MPFA colleagues met with representatives of the Federation of Hong Kong and Kowloon Labour Unions (FLU), including Chairman Lam Chun-sing, Secretary-general Chau Siu-chung, and around 30 members of FLU’s Standing Committee and industry representatives yesterday (6 Dec), to listen to their views on MPFA’s work related to member protection and services and matters of common concern.

Mrs Lau expressed that with a view to further protecting the rights and interests of the working population, MPFA had introduced a number of new measures recently in order to provide proactive and swift assistance to the affected workers, such as optimizing the reporting mechanism of MPF contribution status and extending the MPFA hotline service hours, etc.

During the meeting, Mrs Lau thanked FLU for its support to the work of MPFA over the years. She said that the MPFA would strive to work closely with FLU in the coming year on various areas, in particular on members protection and the promotion of the eMPF Platform to the working population.
