MPFA Chairman shares the work foci of MPFA this year with BPA and G19 Legislative Council Members (28 February 2023)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau and Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee yesterday (28 February) continued their on-going engagement meetings with Legislative Council (LegCo) Members, sharing the work foci of MPFA this year, latest progress of eMPF Platform and recounting last year’s MPF investment performance.
Mrs Lau and Mr Cheng met with LegCo Members from the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) including Hon Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung, Hon Sunny Tan and Hon Benson Luk Hon-man, and Hon Robert Lee Wai-wang, Hon Duncan Chiu, Hon Chan Pui-leung, Hon Kenneth Leung Yuk-wai, Dr Hon Wendy Hong Wen and Hon Yim Kong of G19, an alliance formed by independent legislators via two online meetings.
At the meetings, Mr Cheng highlighted MPFA’s efforts in protecting scheme members’ interests and enhancing MPF investment framework as well as updated the latest progress of the eMPF Platform project. The MPFA thanked the LegCo Members for their invaluable views and suggestions on different MPF topics.
Mrs Lau called on the Members to support the work of MPFA, and the MPFA would continue to spare no efforts in enhancing the retirement protection of Hong Kong’s working population.
