MPFA Managing Director interviewed by RTHK’s programme “Hong Kong Connection” (9 March 2023)
MPFA Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee was interviewed by RTHK’s programme “Hong Kong Connection”, elaborating on the objective of the MPF System and sharing his advice on retirement protection. The programme was aired on 9 March.
Mr Cheng said that the objective of MPF to provide basic retirement protection for the working population in Hong Kong. The MPFA has been encouraging scheme members to make voluntary contributions on top of mandatory contributions in order to enhance retirement protection. Mr Cheng also reminded scheme members not to be overly worried about short-term market volatility as MPF is a long-term investment spanning over 40 years.
