MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau and Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee today (16 March) continued their ongoing engagement meetings with Legislative Council (LegCo) Members, introducing the work foci of MPFA this year to legislators of the Liberal Party via an online meeting.
Mrs Lau and Mr Cheng discussed with LegCo Members from the Liberal Party, including Hon Tommy Cheung Yu-yan, Hon Shiu Ka-fai, Ir Hon Lee Chun-keung, and Hon Frankie Yick Chi-ming on various MPF-related issues. At the meeting, Mr Cheng emphasized that the MPFA is committed to building the eMPF Platform, exploring measures to strengthen protection for scheme members’ interests, and maintaining communication with the public through various promotional and educational activities.
MPFA has been actively engaging with LegCo Members from different constituencies to listen to their opinions on issues pertinent to the retirement benefits of the working population. Mrs Lau thanked the lawmakers for their invaluable suggestions, and their interest in the development progress of the eMPF Platform project, MPF investment performance and investment framework, etc. MPFA will consider the suggestions of Members and take necessary actions with a view to further improving the MPF System.
