MPFA and the industry stride towards a new journey of the eMPF Platform (12 September 2023)
MPFA Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee attended the Annual Dinner of the Pension Schemes Association (PSA) as a keynote speaker yesterday (12 Sep). Commemorating MPFA’s 25th Anniversary, he shared the major development milestones of the MPF System over the years and introduced the six major work foci of the MPFA, including the abolition of the offsetting arrangement, improving investment returns, lowering fees, reviewing the minimum and maximum relevant income levels, encouraging voluntary contributions, and launching the eMPF Platform.
Mr Cheng said that the eMPF Platform was the most significant reform of the MPF System and he thanked the industry for the continuous support and contributions in the project. He emphasized the MPFA is committed to working closely with the industry with a view to improving the MPF System to provide better retirement protection for scheme members through achieving the future work goals and launching the eMPF Platform. Also attending the event including Chief Operating Officer Ms Cynthia Hui and Executive Director (Policy) Mr Eric Cheng, etc.
