MPFA introduces the development of the eMPF Platform in a high-level international roundtable (28 September 2023)
MPFA Executive Director (Policy) Mr Eric Cheng attended virtually the “International High-Level Round Table on Mandatory Funded and Mixed Pension Schemes Development Prospects” in Kazakhstan last Thursday (28 Sep). Via this online opportunity, Mr Cheng shared the latest development of the MPF System and how the eMPF Platform would bring a ground-breaking transformation to the MPF System with senior government officials, representatives of pension regulators and industry experts from different jurisdictions.
Mr Cheng introduced the objective, major functions and benefits to be brought about by the Platform to all stakeholders. He added that the Platform will cover the full range of administrative procedures of the MPF schemes, thereby improving the operational efficiency, creating room for fee reduction and improving user experience, and as a result, all stakeholders of the MPF System will benefit.
The event was co-organized by Unified Accumulative Pension Fund of Kazakhstan and International Social Security Association on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Mandatory Funded Pension System of the Republic of Kazakhstan with an aim to gather the leading international experts to discuss topical issues in pensions.
