Members of MPFA Management Board, MPF Schemes Advisory Committee and Board of Directors of eMPF Company try out eMPF Platform (10 April 2024)
Following the earlier trial use sessions organized for the Legislative Council Members, the MPFA on 10 Apr organised an eMPF Platform trial use session for the members of MPFA Management Board, MPF Schemes Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors of the eMPF Company, to provide them an opportunity to experience various brand new functions offered by the Platform and gather their views on the various new features of the Platform. MPFA Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee expressed his gratitude to the Members for their invaluable comments as well as their guidance throughout the development of the eMPF Platform.
The eMPF Platform is now ready and the phased onboarding of MPF trustees to the Platform is scheduled to commence in June 2024 in ascending order of the size of their assets-under-management. It is expected that the whole onboarding process will complete in 2025. The eMPF Platform is the most significant reform initiative of the MPF System since its inception. It will provide one-stop MPF administration services to 4.75 million scheme members and 360,000 employers, with the objectives of improving management efficiency and reducing fees.
Mr Cheng said that the MPFA and the project team will utilize different channels, including various promotional and educational activities, to raise the public awareness of the Platform with a view to facilitating a seamless migration to the eMPF Platform for all employers and scheme members.
