MPFA Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee was interviewed by HOY TV’s programme “財智．商傳”, introducing the eMPF Platform and the onboarding arrangement.

Mr Cheng said that the eMPF Platform, which is operated on a non-profit basis, will reduce administration costs of MPF schemes through standardising, streamlining, and automating the MPF administration processes. 

The Platform will replace the current scheme administration systems of the 12 trustees, allowing scheme members to manage their MPF schemes through a single eMPF account. After all MPF schemes have got onboard the Platform, the process of consolidating different MPF accounts would be shortened by half.

He also reminded scheme members and employers whose schemes are yet to onboard the eMPF Platform that there is no need to register in advance as their account information will not be shown on the Platform before their MPF schemes have onboarded.
