MPFA Chairman listens to the retirement needs of ethnic minority employees (20 August 2021)
The MPF System has been specifically established to help Hong Kong’s workforce save for their retirement. As part of the members of the Hong Kong community, ethnic minority employees are entitled to the protection of MPF, therefore they should understand their MPF rights for better retirement protection.
Mrs Lau said that she was impressed by their positive working attitude and how they work hard for their family. Mrs Lau said that MPF is a dedicated system for employees and self-employed persons to establish a long-term habit to save and invest for future expenses when they retire.
Meanwhile, MPFA and SKHLMC co-organized the “Embracing Social Inclusion MPF Enquiry Day” in the cross-cultural community on Ping Lai Path, Kwai Chung for reaching out to the ethnic minorities in the area. MPFA set up enquiry counter for handling MPF enquires and providing on-the-spot personal account checking services for the ethnic minority employees living and working in the vicinity.
