MPFA Chairman shares the work foci of MPFA this year with G19 and FLU Legislative Council Members (15 March 2024)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee, Chief Operating Officer Ms Cynthia Hui, and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mr Wallace Lau continued their on-going engagement meetings with various Legislative Council (LegCo) Members, sharing the major work foci of MPFA via online meetings last Friday (15 March). The discussions also included the progress of the eMPF Platform and various initiatives to refine the MPF System.
The first meeting was attended by G19 LegCo Members, namely Hon Robert Lee, Hon Chan Kin-por, Hon Chan Pui-leung, and Dr Hon Wendy HONG Wen. This was followed by another meeting with Hon Lam Chun-sing and Hon Chau Siu-chung of the Federation of Hong Kong and Kowloon Labour Unions.
Mrs Lau stated that the meetings with various LegCo Members over the past two weeks have allowed MPFA to actively seek insights on issues related to MPF and retirement protection. Mrs Lau expressed her gratitude to the LegCo Members for their invaluable suggestions, and added that MPFA is fully committed to considering these suggestions and implementing appropriate measures to further enhance the MPF System.
