MPFA calls on catering workers to care about their MPF rights (19 March 2024)
Mr Wallace Lau , Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of the MPFA, along with representatives from Eating Establishment Employees General Union and the two MPF Industry Schemes trustees visited restaurants in Jordan today (19 March). They distributed “lucky bags” to catering workers to promote awareness of the Industry Schemes and encourage them to care about their MPF rights as well as to take an active role in managing their MPF accounts.
Mr Lau advised the workers to open casual MPF accounts in advance, which would facilitate their employers in making MPF contributions on their behalf. Regarding the upcoming launch of the eMPF Platform, Mr Lau said that the MPFA would continue to collaborate with the labour union in assisting and providing workers with the necessary knowledge to register and use the new Platform for managing their MPFs more conveniently.
