Ms Wang Xiaoping, Minister of Human Resources and Social Security (MoHRSS), accompanied by Mr Chris Sun, Secretary for Labour and Welfare of HKSARG, visited MPFA on 6 May and met with Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau MPFA Chairman, and MPFA senior executives. Minister Wang listened to the sharing by Mrs Lau and MPFA Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee on the key features and latest developments of the MPF System. MoHRSS and MPFA Chairman both agreed to further the exchanges and sharing of experiences between the Mainland and Hong Kong SAR with a view to contributing to better retirement protection for the working population.
Mrs Lau said as more and more Hong Kong residents are working in the Mainland, the MPFA has been following closely the latest developments in the Mainland relevant to MPF scheme members. MPFA would look forward to keeping close liaison and collaboration with the MoHRSS and other relevant authorities in the Mainland.
