MPFA Chairman promotes MPF to youth hostel tenants (20 June 2024)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau and MPFA colleagues on 20 June visited the Hong Kong United Youth Association (HKUYA) youth hostel, BeLIVING Youth Hub, in Wan Chai sharing the latest updates on MPF and eMPF Platform to the youth hostel tenants, as well as listening to their views on the MPF System and retirement protection.
Mrs Lau emphasized that young people could make good use of the power of time and the compounding effect, start planning for retirement investment early and proactively manage their MPF. She encouraged scheme members to consider the Default Investment Strategy if they have no time to manage MPF or are unfamiliar with investing.
Also, MPFA Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mr Wallace Lau shared with the participants that the eMPF Platform would begin operation on 26 June. He added that with the full implementation of the Platform by the end of 2025, scheme members would be able to access all their MPF accounts under different schemes at one glance after logging on the Platform, making MPF management simple and convenient.
