MPFA looks forward to collaborating with the industry to foster continuous enhancement of the MPF System (24 June 2024)
MPFA Executive Director (Policy) Mr Eric Cheng participated in a fireside chat at the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (HKIFA) Annual Conference on 24 June, sharing MPFA’s efforts in optimizing investment regulation and the latest development of the eMPF Platform with over 300 participants from the fund management industry and the financial sector.
Mr Cheng said that the MPFA had been proactive in introducing various reforms and refinements with a view to assisting the working population to accumulate more retirement savings. The MPFA would bring the eMPF Platform to fruition to drive fee reduction and pave way for further reforms. The MPFA was also proactively studying the broadening of the scope of permissible investments and facilitating the industry to develop investment products that meet the needs of the MPF scheme members. He looked forward to continual dialogue with various stakeholders, including MPF trustees and the fund management industry, for the betterment of the MPF System.
