MPFA continues to enhance MPF System for strengthening members' retirement protection (11 July 2024)
MPFA Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee delivered a keynote speech at the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI) Regulatory Luncheon Series on 11 Jul on "Furthering MPF scheme members' interest". He shared with participants the major initiatives to enhance the retirement protection for scheme members which include launching the eMPF Platform, refining MPF investment regulations and broadening investment universe, lowering fees, reviewing the income levels for MPF contributions, encouraging voluntary MPF contributions, and enhancing MPF portability after abolition of MPF offsetting arrangement.
Mr Cheng called on the industry to seize the opportunities brought by the above initiatives, especially the launch of the eMPF Platform, and close collaboration with the MPFA to enhance retirement protection for the Hong Kong working population.
