MPFA Managing Director Cheng Yan-chee shared the main features and latest onboarding arrangement of the eMPF Platform (eMPF) in an online talk show hosted by Legislative Council Member Hon Lai Tung Kwok.

During the programme, Mr Cheng said that the eMPF, which is operated on a non-profit basis, will reduce administration costs of MPF schemes through standardising, streamlining, and automating the MPF administration processes. A cumulative cost savings of $30 billion to $40 billion will be achieved over a ten-year period after the launch of the eMPF. He mentioned that employees, employers and self-employed persons could access their MPF accounts and handle MPF matters anytime anywhere via the eMPF. 

He also highlighted the stringent measures being adopted to ensure information security and various support services available to scheme members and employers.
