MPFA Chairman visits Hung Hom Community Living Room to promote MPF to residents (16 September 2024)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mr Wallace Lau and other colleagues visited the Hung Hom Community Living Room and met with residents in the neighbourhood on 16 Sep, introducing the latest updates on the eMPF Platform and anti-fraud messages related to MPF as well as listening to their views on MPF and retirement protection.
Mrs Lau said that the MPFA has always upheld the spirit of “MPF of the people, for the people”, striving to provide basic retirement protection for the Hong Kong workforce. She encouraged scheme members who lack investment experience or time to manage their MPF to consider choosing the Default Investment Strategy.
In addition, Mr Lau stated that when all MPF schemes get onboard the eMPF, scheme members can enjoy the convenience of “one platform” and manage their MPF accounts, including switching funds, consolidating personal accounts, etc.
The activity was organized by the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council. Mrs Lau also distributed MPF festive blessing bags to the participants in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
