Withdrawal and cancellation of ORSO schemes
If an ORSO scheme fails to comply with certain requirements of the ORSO, MPFA may propose to withdraw the exemption certificate of the scheme or cancel the registration of the scheme.
In response to the proposal to withdraw the exemption certificate or cancel the scheme’s registration, the employer may make representations or objections to MPFA and appeal to the Occupational Retirement Schemes Appeal Board.
Once the withdrawal or cancellation comes into effect, records of the exempted scheme or registered scheme will be deleted from the Registers of ORSO Schemes maintained by MPFA.
