Good MPF Employer Award 2024-25 now open for applications

The Good MPF Employer Award (GMEA) 2024-25, organized by the MPFA, is open for applications and nominations from now until 15 July this year. 
 
This year marks the 11th anniversary of the GMEA, with the theme “Great Job, Boss!”, recognizing good employers who care about and are willing to go the extra mile for their employees’ retirement protection. These exemplary employers not only comply with the MPF legislation, but also offer extra retirement protection for their employees. Last year, a record-breaking 2,298 companies and organizations received the GMEA, including more than 300 first-time participants, indicating that more and more employers are committed to enhancing retirement protection for their employees.
 
To qualify for the GMEA, employers must have participated in an MPF scheme for at least one year, complied with the MPF legislation and provided additional retirement protection for their employees. Two awards, namely the “Good MPF Employer 5 Years” award and the “Good MPF Employer 10 Years” award, will be presented to employers who have consistently enhanced their employees’ retirement protection. 
 
In addition, the “Best All-round MPF Employer” award will be given to employers who meet all of the following five criteria during the 2024-25 award year (from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025):

(1) received the GMEA for 11 consecutive years;

(2) offered more than one MPF scheme for employee choice;

(3) offered MPF voluntary contributions for some or all employees;

(4) received the “e-Contribution Award” (made contribution payments or submitted contribution data electronically via the eMPF Platform (for schemes already onboard the eMPF Platform) or trustees’ platforms (for schemes not yet onboard the eMPF Platform), and submitted the GMEA application online this year); and

(5) received the “MPF Support Award” (provided employees with support services to help them manage their MPF).

 
The awardees will receive e-Certificates for displaying on their corporate websites, social media platforms and other channels together with the GMEA logo to share the great job they have done as a good employer. 
 
From now until 15 July this year, companies or organizations can submit an online application through the Good MPF Employer Award website. Employees and MPF intermediaries can also nominate their affiliated companies, organizations or employer clients for the GMEA. Employees who make a successful nomination will receive a gift, and MPF intermediaries who do the same will be entitled to free attendance at all core Continuing Professional Development training sessions organized by the MPFA in 2026.
