The Occupational Retirement Schemes Register ("Register") is a database of occupational retirement schemes ("ORSO Schemes") to which a registration certificate has been issued under the Occupational Retirement Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 426) ("Ordinance") or for which exemption from the provisions of the Ordinance has been granted by the Registrar of Occupational Retirement Schemes.

The sole purpose of the Register is to enable members of the public to ascertain whether or not an ORSO Scheme has been registered or exempted pursuant to the Ordinance and to obtain the basic information of schemes which are on the Register. Any use of personal data (if any) in this Register for purposes other than the above-mentioned purpose is prohibited unless prior prescribed consent is given voluntarily by the individuals who are the subjects of the data pursuant to Data Protection Principle 3 in Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

Although the Register is updated every working day, it may not contain the most up-to-date information of all ORSO Schemes as there is a time lag in processing and updating the information of the ORSO Schemes on the Register.
